Session Overview:

Imagine this scenario: a team spends lots of time and money building your website/application, only to learn that its users find the site difficult to use or navigate. As a nonprofit, you need to understand and utilize basic user research methods that:

  • Can help minimize website development time and cost (since you have a clearer picture in mind of what you’re building, and who it’s for)
  • Allow teams to identify key nonprofit goals/requirements for your website and ensure those requirements are implemented in a useful, easy to understand and usable manner
  • Avoid costly post deployment rework (i.e. investing more money after your site is built needing to improve it!)
  • Losing potential sponsors, volunteers, recipients, etc. due to not understanding your site or how to navigate it

This webinar will show you how to perform basic user research activities that uncover user needs and translate those needs into measurable goals to ensure your website is poised for success, all before significant
development resources have been spent.

About the Speaker:

Andy Sweany began as a Human Factors Engineer at Intel in 2000 and since that time has completed countless user research activities on a huge range of products (software, hardware, web/desk, tablet, & mobile) across the entire life cycle (from emerging concepts to well established enterprise and consumer products).
